As a person who prefers Matheran in the summers or winters rather than the monsoon, I would say that I was very sceptical about putting it on my list. But since interactions with others proved me wrong, I feel I need to put it on my list.

Though I prefer Matheran when it’s slightly chilly and dry, I would still recommend going there when the moist green covers enclose the hill station.

As one of the most popular Weekend Getaways near Mumbai, people think that the Lonavala and Khandala are overrated. But one cannot truly judge the beauty of the place unless one has been there after the lush covers overlap the brown mud.

I think it would be difficult to explain to my readers how beautiful Lonavala and Khandala are in the monsoon. So, I am sharing a brief encounter marked between the pages of a traveler who saw the points during the downpours of July.
